Soap Rose Petals, Rose Soap Petals, How to Make

Materials Needed:

1 lb. clear M&P soap base
package of silk rose petals
1-2 ozs of Rose Petals fragrance oil
Gold mica powder (optional)
Straight pins, box, clear tape

Melt the clear soap base in a glass measuring cup or bowl until liquefied. Add fragrance oil to the soap base, stir in.
Run lines of tape across an open box as to create a clothes-line effect (see photo below). Now push straight pins through the tips of the silk petals and dip them several times in the soap base until coated.
Push the pins into the tape and let them hang dry. They dry quickly and can be removed to repeat the process. Once the petals are hardened, toss in a zip lock bag with a small amount of mica powder to coat. Add these pretty petals to your bathroom soap dish or give as gifts in one of our new containers.

One pound of soap base is enough to coat several hundred silk petals. We purchased
the petals shown at a local Target™ store. You can also use sheer leaves, or any type of
silk flower, just remove them from there stems.
