For the kids.....
1/2 cup melted
transparent melt & pour soap
2 cups boiling water
1 envelope of Knox® unflavored gelatin
1/4 - 1/2 oz. fragrance oil
Water-based soap colorant
3 or 4 small containers
Makes 16 ozs. or four - 4
oz. jars (Degree of difficulty: very easy)
Pour the envelope of Knox
gelatin into a bowl and add 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until
completely dissolved and set aside. In the meantime, melt 1/2 cup
of melt & pour soap in a clear glass measuring cup. Add
fragrance and colorant to the melted soap and then add the soap to the
gelatin/water mixture, stirring gently. Pour into container or
jars and place in the refrigerator until firm. Store in the
refrigerator until needed.
Kids can have a blast
with this jelly. They can scoop it out and toss into running
water, paint the tub and themselves, glob onto a sponge or washcloth and
dare we say....even bathe with it....the possibilities are endless.
