Safety Tips........

ANISE, (Pimpinella anisum), China.  Steam Distilled.
Spicy warm licorice-like aroma, rich and sweet.  Caution for those with sensitive skin.  
Flash point: 182°F

BALSAM PERủ (Myroxylon pereirae), El Salvador. Steam Distilled.
Exotic, rich, earthly vanilla-like scent.  A liquid essential oil (not a resin) and pale yellow in
color.  Flash point: 200°F

BASIL (sweet) (Ocimum basilicum), Vietnam. Steam Distilled.   
Floral, spicy, clarifying, uplifting, and energizing. Flash point: 167°F.  PRG,SK

BAY LAUREL (Laurus nobilis), Morocco.  Steam Distilled.  Its aroma is spicy, somewhat 
camphoraceous and herbaceous. It is indicated for colds, virus infections and mouth ulcers. 
Externally for massage in muscular aches and pains, including arthritis. Can be inhaled in 
a blend for the respiratory system. It is an expectorant. Because of the high amount of phenols, 
this essential oil is a good antiseptic for the respiratory system.  Bay laurel may be used for 
sprains and bruises. Useful as a scalp and hair tonic, recommended for hair loss, greasy hair or 
flaky scalp. Blends well with bergamot, cedarwood, lemon, rosemary and patchouli.

BAY RUM (Pimenta racemosa), Jamaica, Steam Distilled. 
Light, spicy, sweet aroma. May act as an appetite stimulant and to settle stomach pains. 
General aches and pains, as well as rheumatic pains may be alleviated. Blends well with rose, 
cedarwood, and eucalyptus.  Flash point: 115°F.

BENZOIN (Styrax benzoin), China. Steam Distilled.  
A thick resin that's purifying, warming, and  comforting, a fixative for fragrances in perfume 
and  soap-making.  Flash point: 212°F. SK

BERGAMOT (Citrus bergamia), Italy. Steam Distilled. 
Calming, uplifting, clean, citrus-like floral scent. Blends well with many other oils.   
Flash point: 122°F.  SUN

CAJEPUT  (Melaleuca minor), Indonesia, Steam Distilled.  Spicy, campherous aroma.  
Used to treat fungus infections and as a liniment for sore muscles.  The best essential oil 
to apply undiluted to fire ant bites, preferably immediately after being bitten. Blends well 
with bergamot, clove, lavender, rosewood and camphor.  Flash point: 120°F.

CAMPHOR (Cinnamomum camphora), China, Steam Distilled. Penetrating, musty aroma, 
used for many centuries from the wood of the camphor tree and imported from Borneo, 
China, and Japan.  Fresh, clean and very piercing.  A very powerful oil, overdosing could 
cause convulsions and vomiting. Should be avoided in pregnancy and people suffering from 
epilepsy and asthma. Sedates nervy types particularly when associated with depression. 
Raises low blood pressure. Warms and cools the body where necessary.  May be helpful 
with stiff muscles. It is cooling on the skin and, therefore, reduces inflammatory conditions. 
Blends well with basil, cajeput and chamomile.  Flash point: 125°F.  PRG, EP.

CASSIA (Cinnamomum cassia), China. Steam Distilled
Cinnamon-like aroma.  Blends well with all the spice and citrus oils.  Flash point: 190°F.

CEDARWOOD, Virginia (Juniperus virginiana,red), USA.  Steam Distilled. Woody, balsamic 
aroma, relaxing.   Flash point: 200°F.  PRG 

CHAMOMILE, Roman (Anthemis nobilis), U.K. Steam Distilled.  
Relaxing, calming, skin- conditioning, fruity scent.  Flash point: 125°F.

CINNAMON, LEAF (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Ceylon.  Steam Distilled.
Spicy, sharp, and sweet aroma.  Eases colds and breathing difficulties. Very powerful, should 
be used with extreme care, skin irritant. Flash point: 200°F. SK

CITRONELLA (Cymbopogon), Indonesia. Steam Distilled. 
Insect repellent, skin-conditioning, citrus-grassy aroma.   Flash point: 170°F. PRG

CLARY SAGE (Salvia sclarea), Russia.  Steam Distilled. 
Anti-depressant, up-lifting, euphoric, spicy-sweet scent.  Blends well.  Flash point: 125°F. PRG

CLOVE, LEAF (Eugenia caryophyllata),  Madagascar.  Steam Distilled.
Spicy and penetrating aroma. May irritant the skin, must be diluted.  Flash point: 200°°F. SK

CYPRESS (Cupressus sempervirens), Spain. Steam Distilled. 
Woody, smoking, piney, aroma, purifying, balancing, stimulating. Flash point: 114°F.

EUCALYPTUS (Eucalyptus globulus), Spain. Steam Distilled.
Insect repellent, disinfectant, invigorating, cooling, decongestant. Mossy scent.
Flash point: 109°F. PRG,SK 

FRANKINCENSE (Boswelia thurifera), Africa. Steam Distilled. 
Meditative, soothing, skin- conditioning, balsamic aroma. Flash point: 80°F.

GERANIUM, Egyptian (Pelargonium graveolens), Egypt. Steam Distilled. 
Floral, sweet-smelling, balancing, soothing. Flash point: 185°F. PRG

GINGER (Zingiber officinale), China. Steam Distilled.
Spicy aroma, energizing, warming. Flash point: 130°F.

GRAPEFRUIT, Pink (Citrus paradisii), USA. Cold Pressed.
Citrus scent, energizing, refreshing, astringent. Flash point: 111°F. SUN

HYSSOP (Hyssopus officinalis), France. Steam Distilled.
Warming, stimulating, balancing, strong camphorlike scent. Flash point: 117°F. PRG,HBP,EP

JASMINE, Absolute (Jasminum grandifl.), Egypt. Steam Distilled.
Floral aroma, sensual, exotic, romantic. Flash point: 200°F.

JUNIPERBERRY (Juniperus commun.) Siberia. Steam Distilled.
Balsamic, woody, piney scent, energizing.  Flash point: 105°F. PRG

LAVANDIN GROSSO (Lavandula hybrida) France. Steam Distilled.
Fresh, sweet, floral, more herbaceous than lavender. Top/Middle perfume note.  
Possible Uses: Abscesses, asthma, blisters, boils, burns, cuts, cystitis, dry skin, 
dull skin, eczema, fatigue, insect bites, irritated skin, lice, muscle aches, scabies, 
shock, sores, sprains, strains, vertigo, wounds.  Flash point: 151°F.

LAVENDER, 40/42 (Lavandula officin.), France. Steam Distilled. 
Sweet floral aroma, calming, balancing, soothing.  A favorite among soapmakers. 
Flash point: 156°F.

LAVENDER, FINE/FRENCH (Lavandula angustifolia), France.  Steam Distilled.
High grade of Lavender with all the benefits. Flash point: 125°F

LEMON (Citrus), USA. Cold Pressed
Uplifting, refreshing, cheering, clean citrus scent. Flash point: 115°F. SK,SUN

LEMONGRASS (Cymbopogon flexuous), Mexico. Steam Distilled.
Strong lemony-citrus aroma, insect repellent, skin conditioner, soothing, cleansing. 
Flash point: 160°F. SK

LIME (Citrus aurantifolia), Mexico, Cold Pressed.  
Sharp, bittersweet aroma. It is antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, disinfectant, insecticide, 
restorative. Very stimulating in cases of apathy, depression and anxiety. 
Flash point: 115°F.

LITSEA CUBEBA (Litsea cubeba), China. Steam Distilled.
Lemony-citrus aroma, calming.  Flash point: 160°F.

MARJORAM (Thymus mastichina), Spain. Steam Distilled.
Calming, antiseptic, warm-peppery aroma. Flash point: 125°F. PRG

MYRRH (Commiphora myrrha), Somal. Steam Distilled.
Smokey scent, visualizing and meditative, good emollient.  Flash point: 200°°F. PRG

NEROLI (Citrus aurantium), Spain. Steam Distilled.
Deep floral scent, stimulating, balancing, uplifting, sensual. Use on dry sensitive skin, 
scars, stretch marks. Flash point: 158°F.

ORANGE,  bitter (Citrus aurantium), Brazil. Cold Pressed. 
Citrus scent, uplifting, cheering, refreshing, soothes, restores. Flash point: 117°F. SUN

ORANGE, sweet FIVE FOLD (Citrus aurantium), USA. Cold Pressed. 
Five fold essential oils are more concentrated and longer lasting.  Citrus scent, uplifting, 
cheering, refreshing, soothes, restores. Flash point: 113°F. SUN

PALMAROSA (Cymbopogon marti.), India, Steam Distilled.  
Floral, slightly dry fragrance with a hint of rose.  May ease stiff joints. Blends well with 
bergamot, citronella, jasmine, lavender, petitgrain and rose.  Flash point: 193°F.

PATCHOULI (Pogostemum patch.), Indonesia. Steam Distilled.
Earthy, sweet aroma, musky, exotic, sensual. Popular during the 1960's, but it's making 
a comeback.  Flash point: 215°F.

PEPPERMINT, na    PEPPERMINT, natural (Mentha piperita), USA. Steam Distilled.
Strong refreshing, invigorating, energizing, stimulating. One of the most popular EO's.

PETITGRAIN (Citrus aurantium), Paraguay. Steam Distilled. 
Fresh, citrus aroma, stabilizing, relieves anxiety and stress. Mixes well with floral and 
citrus oils. Flash point: 165°F.

PINE (Pinus sylvestris), Bulgaria.  Steam Distilled.
Strong, fresh piney aroma, deodorizing, refreshing. Flash point: 107°F. SK

ROSEMARY (Rosemarinus offic.), Spain. Steam Distilled. 
Warming, stimulating, restoring, camphorlike scent.  Flash point: 104°F. PRG, HBP,EP

ROSEWOOD (Bois de Rose), (Aniba roseadora), Brazil.  Steam Distilled.
Sweet, woody, floral and slightly spicy.  An analgesic, antidepressant, 
antiseptic, aphrodisiac, deodorant, and insecticide with balancing effect. 
Flash point: 184°F.

SAGE DALMATIAN (Salvia officinalis), Croatia, Steam Distilled.
A fresh herbaceous,, warming, classic scent of sage.  Blends well with lavender
rosemary, citrus, and rose. Flash point: 125°F. PRG

SANDALWOOD (Santalum album), India.  Steam Distilled.
Musk-like, woodsy scent.  Calming and grounding, exotic, sensual.  Blends well with 
many oils. Flash point: 200°F.

SPEARMINT (Mentha spicata), USA. Steam Distilled.
Refreshing, vitalizing, inhalant. Flash point: 142°F.

TANGERINE (Citrus reticulata), USA.  Cold Pressed.
Sweet and tangy aroma. Flash point: 114°F. SUN

TEA TREE (Melaleuca alternif.), Australia. Steam Distilled. 
Warm, spicy, medicinal aroma.  Great antiseptic, insect repellant.

THYME, red (Thymus vulgaris), Spain. Steam Distilled. 
Spicy, herb-like aroma, cleansing, stimulating, toning. Flash point: 131°F.

VETIVER (Vetivera zizanoides), Haiti.   Steam Distilled.
Deep, smoky, earthy aroma. It is antiseptic, aphrodisiac, sedative, 
nervine. It is a calming oil, excellent for stress and tension. Settles the nerves. 
Flash point: 149°F.

WINTERGREEN (Gaultheria procumbens), USA. Steam Distilled.
Very refreshing aroma.  Not recommended for  people who take aspirin regularly. 
Flash point: 200°F. SK

YLANG, YLANG III(Cananga odorata), Indonesia. Steam Distilled.
Strong floral, jasmine-like aroma, sensual, aphrodisiac, used widely in perfumery.  
Flashpoint:167°F
